SEO and SEM are two things go hand in hand but are often thought of as one thing. It is easy to think of SEF being apart of SEO but the problem is that it gets realy confusing as each is a different area to be addressed. SEF has a lot fo development side to it where the site needs to be built properly and SEO has a lot of research with spread sheets. So dividing both into their own section helps to get he job done more effectively.

we usually deal with optimization and marketing. To my mind search engine optimization already includes SEF.
